For most Indian homes, the best range is roughly 220–400 TC in single-ply, long-staple cotton — not the 1000+ TC the marketing pushes. In our climate, breathability matters more than density. Fibre and weave matter far more than the number.
What's the difference between percale and sateen?
Percale is a crisp, cool, matte weave that breathes beautifully — ideal for warm sleepers and Indian summers. Sateen is smoother, silkier, and slightly warmer — lovely for air-conditioned rooms and cooler months.
Is hand-block-printed bedding good quality?
Yes — it's a premium, artisanal craft, not a budget alternative. Each piece is printed by hand from carved wooden blocks, giving a depth and individuality machine printing can't replicate.
